InSync now supports Drive File Stream! (we don’t have a device to test … let us know!) You can leverage this tool for a few months until Drive File Stream releases their next large update which is stated to support Drive FS. And they do not currently support ARM-based devices either.

The user leverages as their primary interface AND they’re able to launch desktop apps like Word directly from the web. This allows the User to launch the desktop app from the web … which is really the whole reason for Drive File Stream in the first place. Grab the free Universal File Opener (UFO) from our friends at AODocs. This lapse in foresight now makes them look like they were asleep at the wheel. Google Support has acknowledged the issue and is working to fix this limitation ASAP.
